You asked for a trail race that was shorter than the Gristmill Grinder… and we listened.
Building on the success of the Gristmill Grinder 1/2 Marathon, West Virginia’s most scenic trail run, The Sticks & Stones Trail Run is a point to point 15k trail race that traverses the ridges and gorges of Babcock State Park…. with a slightly gentler route.
This race will immerse you in history and the awe inspiring vistas of the New River Gorge. Descend an old narrow gauge railroad grade flanking a creek gorge? Check. Pass a functioning historic gristmill? Yep. Challenge you with the most beautiful trails you’ll ever hate? Uh huh. It’s not easy, (hey, it’s a trail race) but trust us, it’s worth it.
